So, I test drove that Miata last Friday. It has two small dents, three scratches, and the clear coat is peeling in a few places. But it runs wonderfully. Sounds great. Drives great. The shocks are very stiff - stiffer than I remember moonwick's being. They told me the car was completely original parts, but I suspect the shocks were not. Or maybe they were, and I just don't know the feel of a Miata very well. :) Anyway, it was great fun. The car does have those pop up headlights, but, I remember thinking, when I turned them on, "wow, the car seems so happy." Maybe it's just me trying to personify a Miata, but what do yall think of pop up headlights? Maybe, just maybe, I could get over my dislike of them. :) (not buying this one anyway, it's a 91)

Poll #191406 Miata...

Pop up headlights on a Miata?

Good thing!
Ok, I guess. Does it really matter?

OK, sure...

Sure, OK, but isn't this true about every other part on a car, too?

I've owned two cars with popup headlights for a total of about 13 years and 200,000 miles. I never had one break. If your goal is simply to avoid having to replace parts on you car you should avoid cars with brakes. Those things are constantly needing new parts. :)

Re: OK, sure...

Wow, cars come with brakes now?! Man, I'm soooo saving up for that option on my next car...
