I want my car back. I dropped it off at Jeff's (the body shop) this evening. Alas, it sounds like it will take quite some time to repair. In the mean time, I'm back in the old '94, though it's now mostly stock. I've forgotten how fun it is to weave back and forth in my lane in this car. Maybe I'll freak out a few people on the toll road on my way in to work tomorrow.

I'm thinking I'm going to wash and polish the '94 on the Fourth. Yes, I know, lame Fourth plans, but the car really needs it. Anyone else with a car needing a bath want to join me?

You've looked at the forecast, right?

No. The weather predictors are wrong as often as they're right.

The car can be washed and clayed in the rain. In fact, rain would make it easier to clay the car (as the car has to be "lubricated" - at least a little wet). The only part rain would interfere with is the actual polish application. That can be done in the garage. If it is raining or extremely humid, it'll take the polish longer to dry, however, once I get one coat on, I can wait a day or two (or three or four, if needed) before applying another, so long as I do a quick wash first.
