Marc Dana once told me that as far as he is concerned, there is absolutely nothing in this world that is both streetable and more fun than a supercharged Miata. :D

:D

I'll go by the shop tonight to discuss the install and the other work that's supposed to be getting done...

Vroom.

I'll probably be there a little after 5. It's only about a 5 minute drive from work, and I'm trying not to leave until 5. Lots of 5s in this comment...

I don't, either. But on a $ per fun basis, I can't realy imagine anything better.

...if I wasn't such a moron, I'd probably buy one.

Well, YMMV, but I found my motorcycle was the most fun $3500 ever bought me :D

There's no way in hell I'm going to ride a bike on the road... And the thought of going over 150MPH on track with nothing but a suit on doesn't appeal that much more. :p

They look like a LOT of fun, but I need a cage. Next year, I'm probably going to get RoadRaceTech to build be a full 8 point cage for my track car, including NASCAR bars in the doors.

when I was getting my top put in, I noticed that the coolant reservoir was empty (again). john proceeded to pressurize the system with 15psi. that was a month ago. half an hour later, it was down to 13.5psi. at the time, this re-assured me that whatever leak there was, it was minor.

I just remembered the other day that outside pressure is 14.7psi. for whatever reason, my car is leaking coolant. it apparently is correlated to how much I drive the car. it leaks the same amount of coolant whether I drive 200 miles in one week or two.

Hrm. Unfun. I had a critical leak in my water pump a while ago - nothing would ever get to or from the reservoir. I had to fill the radiator to make sure it had enough coolant. I wonder where your leak is...

The 13.5 PSI you measure is IN ADDITION to the external pressure. Otherwise, you'd have a vacuum and would suck air in to equalize.
