Today, right after Nugget hopped in the shower, I heard a loud… - Equiraptor's Journal

Today, right after Nugget hopped in the shower, I heard a loud *thud*. I thought, wtf?? for a second, and then remembered the exploding beer. So, I went down to check on it. Everything's fine. Odd. I wandered into the kitchen, and then looked out into the back yard. I see a bird laying there on the ground, under the windows. Oops. Poor bird must have slammed into the window. I think it's a White Wing Dove. After a while, the bird got up and walked about the backyard. Finally, it must have flown off, because it's no longer there, and Boomer didn't eat it.

On another note, I need to go take pictures of the kittens again. They're now adult cats, and doing quite well. It appears that another one of my parents' cats, Mitzi, may be pregnant. She had never shown signs of being in heat, and she's at least 3 years old and has never been pregnant before, so my parents thought she was infertile. I guess not. She's a beautiful longhair calico, but she's not the nicest cat around. We'll have to see how her babies turn out.

Ohhhh...she looks just like our mourning doves we get at our feeder, only the colors are more vibrant. We have a feeder right next to the kitchen window, and even with stickers on the window the birds once in a while still hit it. No deaths yet.

It looks like we have two, maybe three spots on the windows from birds. This is the first one I actually heard/witnessed. No known deaths here yet, either. : )
